Cleanse & Exfoliate:
Wash your face twice or thrice a day with a soap free cleanser. It is important to remove oil and dirt from your skin to make it smooth and glow. Remove make up before going to bed. If you sleep with the make up on, your skin is more likely to breakout and become dull. Face wipes is the easiest way to cleanse your skin. That means you don’t have to use a make up remover if you use wipes. If washing your face is over drying the skin, you may use gram flour mixed with water. It is also very important to regularly exfoliate your skin. It helps to remove dead cells accumulated on skin.
Honey and Lemon:
Honey is anti-inflammatory and a great skin cleanser. Honey also fights skin damage and has antioxidants that reduce signs of ageing. Lemon is rich in vitamin C and nutrients that helps skin problems. It lightens the skin, reduce dark spots and gives glow. It gives your skin radiant glow and maintains elasticity. Mix equal parts of honey and lemon. Use a cotton ball to apply it to your skin. Wash after 30 minutes with luke warm water. This could be used overnight then rinse in the morning.
Cucumber:
Cucumber has a cooling effect on skin. Its cleansing properties make your skin soft, smooth and tightens pores. It also restores natural pH of the skin. There are many ways to use cucumber on skin. You can place cucumber slices on your face to have a refreshing and soothing feel. Cucumber juice, when applied tightens your skin. You can apply it with a cotton ball or mix it with milk to make a skin cleansing mask.
Other ways:
- Blend turmeric powder with milk and apply on the face. It removes the tan and helps to reduce the facial hair. Scrub it off with a good face scrub and then wash with cold water. You can also keep it overnight.
- Dried orange peels mixed with curds help reduce blemishes and scars. Wash it off after 15 minutes with cold water
- Citrus face packs and sandalwood face packs are excellent for oily skin
- Rubbing ice cubes on the face tightens the pores and increases blood circulation
- Don't pick (or pop) your pimples. It's usually not a good idea to pick your pimples. It may be tempting if that blackhead has staring you in the face for a day or two, but it's really not worth it. Picking your pimples can have adverse effects.
- Only use fresh makeup and brushes. Makeup, like food, gathers bacteria and will eventually go bad. If you've been using the same powders, blush, eyeshadow and mascara for over 6 months, it's probably time to throw everything out and start over. Your skin will thank you for it
- Drink plenty of water. Aim to put down 6 to 8 full glasses of water a day, and you'll notice a difference in your skin. The extra fluid makes it easier for you to flush out toxins and waste

That doesn't mean that you have to cut milk entirely out of your diet. Just be informed about what's going into your body, and don't make dairy a big part of your diet.
